Two teenagers arrested after investigation into break-in at e-cigarette shop

DOVER, Delaware – Two teenagers were arrested early Sunday morning on suspicion of burglary.

We’re told that police responded to an alarm at Dragon Land Smoke Shop around 2:30 a.m. and upon arrival found the store’s front window broken. However, it turns out the suspects were not able to gain entry into the business.

Using surveillance footage, officers were able to obtain a description of the three suspects, who were located a short time later. The suspects reportedly fled from officers, but two of the suspects were arrested. They were identified as a 16-year-old and a 15-year-old male, both from Dover. It was also determined that the 16-year-old was responsible for a burglary at Sky Vape Smoke Shop and a burglary at Cosmic Vape Smoke Shop, both in February, as well as an attempted burglary at Cosmic Vape Smoke Shop in April.

The 16-year-old was charged with four counts of third-degree burglary/attempted burglary, disguise during the commission of a felony, three counts of theft/attempted theft, four counts of criminal damage, two counts of second-degree conspiracy and resisting arrest. He was subsequently released to his guardian.

The 15-year-old was charged with wearing a disguise during the commission of a crime, attempted third-degree burglary, second-degree conspiracy and resisting arrest. He was also released to a guardian.
