Winchester man sentenced to 25 years in prison for sexually abusing a minor

A Winchester man, Michael Mansfield, was sentenced to 25 years in prison on Friday for sexual assault and endangering a minor.

The case went to court, where prosecutors argued that Mansfield sexually abused a female victim over a four-year period when she was between seven and eleven years old.

In addition to his prison sentence, Mansfield was also required to register with the Connecticut state sex offender registry.
