More rain and storms this week

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) – It’s raining again this week, but you won’t need an umbrella every day.

Our week starts off very warm and humid in the Midstate. Highs are expected to be above 80 degrees this afternoon. I wouldn’t be surprised if one or two spots hit 90 degrees today. This afternoon will be a mix of cloudy and sunny, and I can’t rule out an isolated thunderstorm, but most, if not all, will remain dry.

Lows will fall to just under 18 degrees Celsius tonight, with scattered clouds and isolated fog developing in some areas overnight.

MORNING

You’ll want to have your umbrella handy from tomorrow morning as some showers and thunderstorms will develop during the morning commute and will continue on and off throughout the day. These showers and thunderstorms will not be very organized so we should find some decent dry breaks throughout the day. There is no threat of severe weather but any thunderstorms could bring a nice downpour. Highs tomorrow will be just above 27 degrees.

WEDNESDAY

More rain showers and thunderstorms are expected on Wednesday afternoon and evening, so there is still a day to get your umbrella ready. We are not expecting any storms on Wednesday. Temperatures will remain just over 27 degrees all day.

LATE WEEK

The week will also be mostly dry, but I still can’t resist an isolated shower on Thursday. Otherwise, we’ll have alternating clouds and sunshine on Thursday afternoon and Friday, with temperatures between 30 and 35 degrees.

THIS WEEKEND

Saturday and Sunday will also be mostly, if not completely, dry, with temperatures in the 30s on both days. There will be alternating clouds and sunshine each afternoon, and even if there is a brief shower, it will not soak the day.
