Pro-Palestinian protesters march in Midtown Atlanta

ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) – Pro-Palestinian protesters held another rally and march in downtown Atlanta on Tuesday.

The rally began at 7 p.m. at the Israeli Consulate General building on Spring Street. Protesters then began walking down Peachtree Street, making a circle back to where they started.

Traffic was briefly disrupted as Atlanta police officers followed the protesters along their route.

The protesters said they were unhappy with the latest developments related to the war in the Gaza Strip and Israel’s rejection of the latest ceasefire agreement.

Israeli officials said Hamas’ ceasefire proposal did not meet Israel’s demands.

“Israel, instead of signing, invaded Rafah, bombed houses in Rafah and declared this proposal unreasonable,” said Estevan Hernandez, organizer for the Party for Socialism and Liberation.
