Nashua, NH man shot and killed by police – NBC Boston

According to authorities, a man was shot dead by police in Nashua, New Hampshire, over the weekend.

The shooting occurred around 10 p.m. Sunday at Lowe’s Home Improvement, just off Daniel Webster Highway.

The store was completely cordoned off on Monday morning – more than seven hours later – with a significant police presence.

The New Hampshire State Police patrol car and several Nashua police officers were visible at both entrances.

A white tent was also set up Sunday evening while police investigated the circumstances that led at least one officer to shoot a man. His name was not immediately released.

The investigation is being taken over by the Attorney General’s Office, which is standard practice when a police department is involved in a shooting. But between Sunday night and Monday, the department did not provide any explanation as to what happened.

According to authorities, none of the officers were physically injured and there is currently no known danger to the public.

It is unclear whether Lowe’s will be allowed to reopen on Monday.

NBC10 Boston has reached out to the district attorney’s office for more information.
