Update on the condition of three men after triple stabbing in Woolwich

Police have released an update on the condition of three men who were stabbed during a brawl in Woolwich.

The incident occurred on May 31 at around 6.25pm ​​on Thomas Street near Calderwood Street.

Officers and rescue workers from the London Ambulance Service were called to the scene and found three injured men.

They were all taken to hospital for treatment, where their condition initially remained unknown.

A Metropolitan Police spokesman confirmed today (3 June) that her condition was not life-threatening.

Additional officers were dispatched to the area and a total of 16 people were arrested in connection with the incident.

The police investigation is ongoing.

A Metropolitan Police spokesman said: “Police were called to a fight in Thomas Street, Woolwich, at around 6.25pm ​​on Friday 31 May.

“Officers went to the scene and found three men with stab wounds. All were taken to hospital; their condition was not considered life-threatening.

“Additional officers were dispatched to the area and a total of 16 people were arrested in connection with the incident. Investigations are ongoing.

“Section 60 applies until 9.37am on 1 June and covers the SE18 postcode area.

“Any witnesses or anyone with footage that could assist police should call 101 quoting reference number 5815/31 May.

A London Ambulance Service spokesman said: “We responded to several calls regarding reports of stabbings in Woolwich on Friday 31 May.”

“The first call came in at 6.32pm for an incident on Calderwood Street. Then we were called at 6.47pm for an incident on Powis Street.

“We sent ambulance crews, an operations manager and a paramedic in an emergency vehicle.

“We treated two patients on site. We took one to a large trauma center as a priority, the other refused further treatment.”
