Motorcyclist dies after motorcycle crash near Golden Lantern in Laguna Niguel

ORANGE COUNTY, CA (June 3, 2024) – A man died in a motorcycle crash near Golden Lantern and Hidden Hills Road Thursday evening.

According to the Orange County Sheriff’s Department, the incident occurred on May 30 at around 5:15 p.m. For reasons still under investigation, a sedan and a motorcycle collided at the intersection.

Rescue workers confirmed the motorcyclist’s death at the scene. Authorities did not release the victim’s identity until next of kin were notified.

Meanwhile, the driver of the limousine remained on site and cooperated with investigators.

To allow for the investigation, emergency crews temporarily closed all southbound lanes on Golden Lantern from Paseo de Colinas to Hidden Hills Road.

The Sheriff’s Department continues to investigate the cause of the fatal crash. Officials will release more information as it becomes available.
