Investigations into the fire in rural Hawley are ongoing

Clay County Sheriff’s Office/Lakes Area Radio – The investigation is ongoing into a fire that destroyed an abandoned home about a mile north of Hawley early Thursday morning. Fire Chief Tim Sanvik reported that by the time firefighters arrived just before 3 a.m., the building had burned to the ground and the garage roof had collapsed. The Clay County Sheriff’s Office, which has previously responded to reports of trespassing at the location, is asking the public for information about the fire.
