Ombudsman suspends Bamban Mayor Alice Guo

MANILA, Philippines – The Office of the Ombudsman has ordered the preventive suspension of Alice Guo, mayor of Bamban, Tarlac, while it investigates the administrative complaint filed against her by the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG).

In a nine-page order dated May 31, 2024, Ombudsman Samuel Martires suspended Guo, Business Permit and Licensing Officer (BPLO) Edwin Ocampo, and Municipal Legal Officer Adenn Sigua pending the completion of investigations, but not exceeding six months.
