South Korea decides to suspend military agreement with North Korea – World

SEOUL – The Republic of Korea (ROK) decided on Monday to suspend the military agreement signed on September 19 with the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (DPRK), the presidential office said.

The decision was made during a working session of the National Security Council (NSC), chaired by Deputy National Security Advisor Kim Tae-hyo.

The agenda for the cancellation of the entire military agreement will be submitted to the South Korean cabinet meeting on Tuesday for approval, the presidential office said.

The agreement was signed by the defense ministers of both Koreas during the 2018 inter-Korean summit in Pyongyang to prevent any hostile actions across the border.
