Armed robbery at Pentagon City Mall under investigation: police

ARLINGTON, Va. (7News) — According to the Arlington Police Department, police are investigating an armed robbery that occurred Tuesday afternoon at the Pentagon City Mall.

On May 7, at approximately 4:50 p.m., police say they responded to the 1000 block of S. Hayes Street in Arlington, Virginia after several people went into a store and stole items.

According to a preliminary investigation, three men were stealing some items when one of them produced a firearm and confronted an employee. The three men then fled on foot.

The investigation into the incident is still ongoing, police said.
