SYRACUSE, N.Y. — New York Mets third baseman Brett Baty was in the Syracuse lineup Sunday afternoon as the Mets split their six-game series against Buffalo, 7-1.

The Syracuse Mets use the long ball to earn a 7-1 win Sunday against the Bison



Baty hit two homers in the game for Syracuse, one in the third inning and again in the eighth. Carlos Cortes and Luke Ritter also homered in the win.

The Mets had traded wins with the Bison in the first five games of the series, and Sunday’s victory ensured a series split with Buffalo.

Syracuse is back in action in St. Paul for a six-game road series beginning Tuesday.
