On Thursday, May 30, 2024, Jonathan Brodecki, 21, Moore Avenue, Bensalem, turned himself in to Bensalem Police Detectives on suspicion of multiple serious crimes, namely the sexual extortion of nine minor victims, ages 12 to 15, in multiple states.

Bensalem Police believe many more victims have not yet been identified. In January 2024, Bensalem Police received information about a Snapchat account that was sexually extorting a 15-year-old girl.

Through investigation, it was determined that the creator and user of the account in question, “jack_goodric,” was 21-year-old Jonathan Brodecki of Bensalem.

Jonathan Brodecki had used this Snapchat account to pose as a middle or high school boy. He then convinced the 15-year-old girl to send him sexually explicit photos and videos because she believed he was her age. When the 15-year-old victim tried to cut off contact with Brodecki, he threatened to post the explicit images of her publicly.

Upon further investigation of this Snapchat account, “jack_goodric,” Bensalem investigators identified eight additional victims. These victims were all female and between the ages of 12 and 15. In all cases, Brodecki “added” these girls on Snapchat and posed as a teenager, sometimes 13, 14, or 15. He then asked the girls to produce and send him sexually explicit images, which many of the victims did. Brodecki also sent sexually explicit images to several victims.

At least one other victim, a 13-year-old girl, was sexually blackmailed by Brodecki. He threatened to find and rape her and also to publicly post explicit images of her.

In March 2024, a search warrant was executed on Jonathan Brodecki’s residence. During the search, several electronic devices were seized. After a forensic examination of these devices, it was discovered that Brodecki had also used a fictitious Instagram account for the same illegal purposes as the fictitious Snapchat persona.

The police assume that there are other juvenile victims whose identities have not yet been established.

Jonathan Brodecki was charged with sexual abuse of children (9 counts – felonies), sexual extortion/distribution of images (2 counts – felonies), sexual abuse of children/possession of child pornography (9 counts – felonies), unlawful contact with a minor (14 counts – felonies), obscene and other sexual images and distribution to a minor (3 counts – felonies), corruption of minors (2 counts – felonies), corruption of minors (7 counts – misdemeanors), terroristic threats (1 count – misdemeanor), stalking (2 counts – misdemeanor), and criminal use of a communications facility (1 count – felony).

District Judge Joseph Falcone arraigned Jonathan Brodecki and remanded him to the Bucks County Correctional Facility on bail of 10% of a total of $5,000,000.

Anyone who remembers having contact with “jack_goodric” or other similar usernames on Snapchat or Instagram is asked to contact Detective Ryan Kolb of the Bensalem Township Police Department at (215)-633-3746.
