Providence man arrested after traffic stop on multiple warrants

WEST GREENWICH – Police arrested a Providence man Saturday after a vehicle stop on Route 95 revealed warrants for his arrest.

Innocent Soman, 23, was arrested at 4:27 p.m. on warrants for failure to appear in court. He was accused of driving with an expired license and issuing fake certificates, among other offenses.

The arrest was made by Rhode Island State Police following a traffic stop in the town of West Greenwich.

The arrest warrants came from the East Providence Police Department and the Rhode Island State Police headquarters.

After his arrest, Soman was taken to Hope Valley Barracks for processing.

He was later transferred to the Adult Correctional Institution’s Male Reception Center.
