Good Samaritans assisted first responders in a single-vehicle rollover accident

CALHOUN COUNTY, Fla. (WMBB) – Emergency crews were called to a single-vehicle rollover accident on State Road 69 on Sunday.

Shortly before 4 p.m., the NettleRidge Fire Department reported that they found the driver trapped in his vehicle at the scene of the accident.


Firefighters said they were able to free the driver from the vehicle with the help of some Good Samaritans who witnessed the accident.

The driver was wearing a seatbelt, which saved his life and allowed him to escape with only minor injuries, officials said.

The Calhoun County Sheriff’s Office, Florida Wildlife Conservation, Nettle Ridge, Florida Highway Patrol and Mallory Towing were also on scene.
