Man found dead on highway with apparent gunshot wound, Metro police say | Local Las Vegas

According to a press release from the Metropolitan Police Department, a man was found in a vehicle early Sunday morning suffering from an apparent gunshot wound and injuries following an accident on the highway.

A Nevada State Trooper found the man’s body while responding to a report of an accident near the HOV exit from Interstate 15 North to U.S. Highway 95 North around 3:30 a.m., the press release said.

Arriving medical personnel declared the man dead at the scene of the accident, police said.

The Metro Homicide Unit is leading the investigation. The victim’s identity and cause of death will be released by the Clark County Coroner, according to the news release.
