Investigation underway after police-involved shooting in Phoenix

PHOENIX – An investigation is ongoing following a police-involved shooting in Phoenix Sunday afternoon.

According to police, the shooting occurred near 12th Street and McDowell Road.

No officers were injured in the incident. Police say one suspect was “beaten.”

It is currently unknown whether the suspect is injured or how serious his injuries are.

What led to the shooting is not yet known.

This incident remains under investigation.

In 2024, this will be the 29th officer-involved shooting in the Valley and the 10th shooting involving Phoenix police officers.
