Man arrested: Man arrested for raping two minor daughters under Pocso Act | Nagpur News

Nagpur: A 34-year-old man was arrested by the Gittikhadan police for sexually exploiting his two biological daughters, aged 12 and 10, for the past few months. The daughters are from the man’s second wife. The man, who earned his living as a labourer and helper in hotels, used violence on the daughters after his wife went to sleep. The man’s elder daughter reported the matter to the mother in April after she sustained minor injuries in the forcible intercourse. The man was questioned by the family on the issue but then asked for forgiveness. Apart from the elder daughter, the man later started making inappropriate advances to his younger daughter too. The accused again made advances to his two daughters last week, prompting the mother to approach the police. The woman wanted the police to counsel and warn the man but he was promptly put behind bars under the provisions of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (Pocso) Act.
