2 people arrested after police find stolen trailer and drugs in Mt. Juliet, Tennessee

MT. JULIET, Tenn. (WKRN) — Two people from Nashville were taken into custody after Mt. Juliet police reportedly found a stolen trailer and various drugs on them.

Authorities said the two suspects drove to Mt. Juliet overnight in a U-Haul trailer that was stolen in the city on May 24.


According to officials, officers were alerted by Mt. Juliet’s Guardian Shield license plate recognition program, which quickly intercepted the pair on Lebanon Road near Nonaville Road. In addition to the trailer, the suspects allegedly had methamphetamine, heroin and marijuana in their possession.

Police said a 39-year-old woman was arrested on an extradition warrant from the Tennessee Department of Correction for parole violation, a warrant from Nashville for parole violation and illegal drug possession. Meanwhile, a 40-year-old man was charged with burglary and illegal drug possession.

“MJ officers continue to work hard to ensure criminals do not succeed in our community,” the police department posted on social media on Sunday, June 2.

No further details about this nighttime incident have been released, including the identities of those arrested.
