6 people arrested after OVI stop in Boardman, Ohio

BOARDMAN, Ohio (WKBN) – The Ohio State Highway Patrol has released the results of Friday evening’s alcohol and saturation strip checks.

It took place on State Route 7 near Mill Creek Drive in Boardman Township with assistance from Canfield and Boardman police.

A total of 178 cars passed the checkpoint.

Three of the cars were stopped.

Two people were arrested for drunk driving.

Four people were arrested during intensive patrols – three for drunk driving and another for illegal possession of weapons.
