Investigation underway after woman found dead in E. Harris County apartment

HARRIS COUNTY, Texas – An investigation is ongoing after a woman was found dead in an apartment in eastern Harris County on Sunday.

The Harris County Sheriff’s Office said the woman was found at the Lafayette Village apartment complex at 4822 E. Sam Houston Pkwy N. near Woodforest.

Officers went to the apartment to check on the woman’s well-being and found the woman dead inside the apartment.

Details are not available at this time, but the sheriff’s office said it appears to be a murder.
