Death investigation in a New Hampshire house that police searched for days

In Concord, an investigation is underway into a death at the same location where police have been searching for days. The New Hampshire Attorney General’s Office said its office is aware of and is monitoring an ongoing investigation into a death in the city. On Thursday, police officers were seen at a property on Airport Road, and neighbors told News 9 they were there into Saturday. “So they were digging Friday night, all day Saturday, and it looked like they found something around 2 or 2:30 Saturday afternoon. Then an hour later, they started packing up,” neighbor Russell Smith said. Smith said there was a lot of police activity outside his home for days, saying police officers kept leaving the house, and eventually two crime scene units showed up along with more police officers, some in hazmat suits. “It started around 5:00 Thursday night. I went to bed at 11:00, and they were still out there. It was almost 10:30 p.m., and I heard one of them say, ‘I found something,'” Smith said. Merrimack County Prosecutor Paul Halvorsen responded to News 9’s request for information on Sunday, saying, “Members of the Concord Police Department are actively and diligently investigating the incident on Airport Road, and I am aware of the investigation. At this early stage of this open investigation, I cannot provide any further information.” News 9 reached out to Halvorsen for more information, but did not receive a response. News 9 also reached out to Concord Police Department on Sunday for information, but did not receive a response.
