Channelview death investigation: Two men found dead in trailer with high carbon monoxide levels, HCSO says

CHANNELVIEW, Texas (KTRK) – According to the Harris County Sheriff’s Office, an investigation is ongoing after two men were found dead in a trailer in the Channelview area Sunday morning.

Channelview EMS units responded to the 16000 block of John and were notified that two victims were deceased at the scene.

According to HCSO, the two men were not using the generator because of a power outage, but to supply electricity to a trailer that was being made habitable.

According to investigators, one of the men appeared to have fallen asleep, while the second man may have collapsed.

According to official reports, the carbon monoxide concentration at the scene of the accident was extremely high.

Hazmat has traveled to the area and authorities are currently investigating.

At present, no third-party liability is suspected.
