WATCH: Lauren Boebert freaks out after host addresses theater incident

Boebert and her date, Quinn Gallagherwere taken from the Beetlejuice Musical, after both were reportedly reprimanded by ushers for their behavior during intermission before security “received another complaint that patrons were being loud and recordings were being made at the time five minutes into the second act.” the Denver Post reported. Footage of the incident shared by Clark shows Gallagher grabbing the congresswoman’s breast, and Boebert smoking an e-cigarette, acting disruptively during the show and giving staffers the middle finger as they were escorted out, which she again denied during the debate.

“I don’t think there was any disrespect. I think things were taken out of context,” Boebert replied after Clark asked her if she had apologized to voters for her behavior and disrespect toward service workers. “It was reported that I gave somebody the middle finger, but I didn’t. So I think it was misrepresented.”

Boebert reportedly struggled as he left the theater, asking theater employees, “Do you know who I am?” while also saying, “I’m on the board” and “I’m going to contact the mayor,” according to an incident report obtained by the the Denver PostPolice arrived at the theater and remained in the lobby until Boebert and Gallagher left the building.

Boebert and Gallagher were seen holding hands as they left the venue. Gallagher turned the congresswoman around as they walked across an empty seat. The incident report did not identify the two people, however. Boebert and her campaign manager, Drew Sextonboth confirmed their dismissal.

“I can confirm the stunning and salacious rumors: In her spare time, Congresswoman Lauren Boebert is indeed a supporter of the performing arts (gasp!) and, to the dismay of a few, enthusiastically attended a weekend performance of Beetlejuice” Sexton said in a statement to the Denver Post.

Sexton confirmed that Boebert used her phone to take a photo of the show, even though cell phone use was prohibited during performances. Boebert, a mother of four and grandmother of one, filed for divorce from her husband. Jaysonin May 2023 after almost two decades of marriage, citing “irreconcilable differences”.
