Passengers report illness on Vancouver-Houston United flight

United Airlines said it pulled a plane for a deep cleaning after dozens of passengers reportedly felt sick on a flight Friday from Vancouver to Houston, Texas.

About 25 passengers on Flight 1528 complained of nausea, according to Capt. Sedrick Robinett of the Houston Fire Department (HFD).

He said they were part of a group of 75 people who traveled together on a cruise to Vancouver.

Robinett also said the HFD evaluated three passengers at George Bush Intercontinental Airport, but no one was transported to the hospital.

United Airlines said in a statement to CBC News that the company is “actively coordinating with health authorities to address the situation.”

It was not specified which cruise the sick passengers were on before the flight.

The flight, carrying 163 passengers and six crew members, landed around 6:30 p.m. local time on Friday.
