Woman arrested after fatal shooting at Shell gas station in Holt

A woman has been arrested and charged with murder after she was allegedly involved in a fatal shooting at a gas station in Tuscaloosa County on Saturday night.

Captain Jack Kennedy, commander of the Tuscaloosa Violent Crimes Unit, said deputies and the VCU were called to the Shell gas station at 1300 Crescent Ridge Road at the corner of Jack Warner Parkway around 10:45 p.m. Saturday night.

Two women suffered gunshot wounds, including 46-year-old Lashonda Leight Street, who died after the shooting at DCH.

Kennedy said police determined that the second woman, 43-year-old Rosanna Latrice Wilson, shot the other woman, Street.

Wilson was also injured in the shootout, but her injuries were not life-threatening.

Kennedy said the two women got into an argument in the Shell gas station parking lot before Wilson shot Street.

“After consultation with the District Attorney’s Office, Rosanna Latrice Wilson was charged with murder and remanded in prison without bail,” Kennedy said.

According to Tuscaloosa Thread staff, this is the 15th murder case that VCU has investigated so far this year.
