Man killed in shooting in downtown New Orleans

NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) – Officials with the New Orleans Police Department are investigating a shooting that left a man dead in downtown New Orleans on Saturday, June 1.

The NOPD reported that officers responded to a shooting in the 300 block of Marais Street around 11:18 p.m.

At the crime scene, NOPD officers said they found a man with at least one gunshot wound.

His death was pronounced at the scene.

The NOPD did not release any further information.
