Woman found dead in car after shooting in West Miami

WEST MIAMI, Florida. – Police found a woman dead in a car in West Miami late Saturday night and Miami-Dade Police were investigating Sunday’s fatal shooting.

According to Detective Angel Rodriguez, a spokesman for the Miami-Dade Police Department, police officers responded to a ShotSpotter alert near Northwest 65 Street and 20 Avenue shortly before 11:10 p.m.

According to Rodriguez, Miami-Dade Fire Department rescue crews arrived after police officers found the woman in the car and pronounced the woman dead.

Homicide detectives were investigating the case. They asked anyone with information about this or other cases to call Miami-Dade County Crime Stoppers at 305-471-8477.
