Man shot dead in Gwinnett County, police say

ATLANTA, Georgia (Atlanta News First) – Police say a man was shot and killed in a Gwinnett County neighborhood late Saturday night.

Gwinnett County police said officers responded to calls about “gunshots and screaming” in the Gwens Trail area in unincorporated Lilburn around 11:30 p.m.

When officers arrived, they reportedly found a man in his 20s who had been shot in the 3000 block of Betty Jean Court. The victim died at the scene. His identity has not yet been determined.

Police did not provide any information about the suspect or the circumstances of the shooting.

“Currently very little is known about the victim and the incident,” police said in a statement.
