4 WRs the Chiefs should trade for after the new Rashee Rice incident

Treylon Burks could be available with the Titans as they now have DeAndre Hopkins, Calvin Ridley and Tyler Boyd. He probably would have cost less than Dotson, but he was also a first-round pick two years ago.

Burks has only 49 catches for 665 yards in his career, although like Dotson, I attribute the lack of production to factors beyond his control. Not only was the QB situation and overall offensive situation in Tennessee a mess, but due to injuries, Burks only played in 11 games in each of his first two seasons.

The Chiefs don’t have many options if further criminal charges are filed against Rice, and Burks would be a great, low-cost acquisition with high return potential. With 1,104 receiving yards and 11 TDs in his senior year, Burks is a physical, big receiver capable of making contested catches.

This is a guy who can keep the football. Sometimes things don’t work out at the first destination for a variety of reasons. It’s hard to see how Burks can score a lot of goals from the Titans as he moves forward, so a move to the Chiefs could help him rebuild his value before his rookie contract ends.

If Tennessee is considering trading Burks for a late-round pick, I would make that deal. He provides the type of receiver missing from Kansas City’s roster and could prove valuable.
