Temperatures are rising in Houston

Tonight’s forecast:

Tonight we will continue to stay hot, muggy and humid with overnight lows in the mid 70s.

Stream and river conditions are below. You can also consult our flood monitoring. Avoid parking along creeks, rivers and creeks. Never go around a barrier. Don’t let this week’s sunshine fool you, flooding may still be present in some areas. Not only can you be swept away, but floodwaters also hide dangers that can cause illness, injury, or even death. Tuesday’s forecast:

Be careful if you spend a lot of time outside. Our body is not yet used to this kind of heat. If you are cleaning your property, make sure you stay hydrated as this heat can lead to exhaustion.

Cool front Thursday:

Our next cool front is expected Thursday evening. We have a chance of rain with temperatures in the 80s late this week.

There is a low threat of severe weather northwest of Houston on Thursday.

There is also a low threat of flooding with possible storms on Thursday.

Temperatures will drop behind the front. Temperatures will drop by 10 degrees.

Mother’s Day weekend:

Mother’s Day weekend is going to be awesome! Temperatures will be in the 80s with lower humidity than this week!

We’ll start increasing our humidity between now and Mother’s Day, but it’ll still be pretty sunny!

10-day forecast:

Today through Thursday we will see slight lows in the mid 70s with warm afternoons in the low 90s. Starting Friday we will see slightly cooler temperatures with lows in the 60s and highs in the 80s.
