1 dead and 4 injured in traffic accident in Prince George’s County, police said

According to Prince George’s County police, one man died and four other people were hospitalized following a traffic accident in Bowie on Saturday evening.

According to police in Prince George’s County, Maryland, one man died and four others were hospitalized following an accident near Snowden Pond in Bowie on Saturday evening.

The four-vehicle crash occurred around 7:15 p.m. in the 11000 block of Laurel Bowie Road, Prince George’s County police said.

A man died at the scene of the accident after being rescued from his vehicle.

Prince George’s County Fire and Rescue officials told WTOP that four people from other vehicles involved in the crash were taken to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Laurel Bowie Road between Old Laurel Bowie Road and Powder Mill Road was closed for more than eight hours while authorities investigated.

Police are asking anyone with information about the accident to contact Prince George’s County Crime Solvers.
