Thief robs girl on public bench in Long Beach – NBC Los Angeles

Long Beach police are searching for the man who robbed a girl on a public bench earlier this week.

The robbery, captured on surveillance video, occurred shortly after 3 p.m. Thursday in the area of ​​Keynote Street and Studebaker Road. There, a car with at least two passengers pulled up to the bank and one of the men sat next to the victim. He appears to have spoken to her before attacking her.

The video then shows the man fleeing with the victim’s belongings, running back to the vehicle he got out of and fleeing the crime scene.

Long Beach police said the thief stole the victim’s belongings, but did not specify what the items were.

No injuries were reported in connection with the robbery. A detailed description of the thief was not available.
