New Delhi: Bollywood diva of the 90s Raveena Tandon found herself at the centre of a storm on Saturday evening after a shocking incident in Mumbai. A group of women accused the Patna Shukla The actress and her driver have been charged with assault, including allegedly attacking an elderly lady. The altercation, which took place near Carter Road in Mumbai, was captured in a video that has since gone viral on social media.

What happened to Raveena Tandon?

The Free Press Journal reported that the incident began with allegations of reckless driving against Raveena’s driver. He allegedly hit three people near Rizvi College. When the women confronted him, Raveena allegedly got out of the car. According to the report, she was under the influence of alcohol at the time and allegedly abused and assaulted the victims.

Crime journalist Mohsin Shaikh shared the video on X, underlining the seriousness of the situation. He tweeted, “Allegations of assault by #RaveenaTandon and her driver on an elderly woman. Incident near Rizvi Law College, family claims that @TandonRaveena was under influence of alcohol, women have head injuries, family is at Khar police station @MumbaiPolice @CPMumbaiPolice @mieknathshinde.” He further mentioned that Raveena Tandon’s husband, film distributor Anil Thadani, was also present at Khar police station.

The video also captures a tense exchange between Raveena and one of the alleged victims. The woman can be heard saying: “You have to spend the night in jail. My nose is bleeding.” Raveena, visibly distressed, repeatedly asked the crowd not to push her and to stop hitting her. When she noticed the camera, the 49-year-old star pleaded with the person filming to stop.
