Two college students die in road accident in Chennai

Two college students died in a road accident earlier this week when their bicycle collided with a car on the bridge in Velachery.

The victims were identified as 19-year-old Rohit and his 18-year-old friend Sham Ravi. Both were from Adambakkam and were studying at a private college in Adambakkam.

According to police, they were cycling to their homes on the evening of May 29 and accidentally hit a car on the bridge. The impact threw them off their bikes and they sustained head injuries. Police took them to Government Royapettah Hospital, where Sham Ravi died on the evening of May 31 and Rohit died on June 1.

The traffic investigation police in Guindy have registered a case and are investigating.
