Man killed, brother injured in argument over teasing incident

Hairdresser arrested after fatal scissors attack

KOT ADDU:

A man was killed and his brother was seriously injured in an argument over annoying a sister in Kot Addu on Friday.

The incident led to the arrest of the accused and the hairdresser involved.

Police said Muhammad Ayaz Bhatti, a resident of Ward 14, Ghareebabad, had filed a complaint with the city police. The complaint stated that the accused, Muhammad Iqbal and Adnan Bashir, were sitting in Mumtaz Park when they heard a commotion at a local barber shop.

When they arrived, they found Umar, the barber, holding Muhammad Bilal Bhatti.

During the argument, Bilal, alias Balla David, attacked his brother Muhammad Bilal Bhatti with scissors, which led to Bilal’s death.

Khizar Abbas Bhatti, who was also present at the crime scene, was injured when accused Asif Sheikh hit him with scissors.

The accused tried to escape, but were caught and arrested by locals who handed them over to the police.

Bilal suffered a broken leg. The police filed a complaint and arrested both the accused and the hairdresser.

SHO City Nasir Abbasi said a forensic team had collected evidence from the crime scene.

He assured that the perpetrators would be brought to justice and appealed to the young people to remain calm and patient. He stressed that minor disputes could have devastating consequences for families.
