Chennedy Carter’s hateful intent is finally revealed as she speaks out on the Caitlin Clark incident and blames her own family members

Inside Gainbridge Fieldhouse, Angel Reese and Kamilla Cardoso were ready to launch fiery attacks on their NCAA and WNBA rival Caitlin Clark. But who would have thought there was so much more drama to come? In a close game where the Fever beat Chicago, Chennedy Carter seemed to push the top seed out quite a bit. At one point, she ejected the two-time national player of the year for no reason, drawing criticism from all sides. She then offered a cryptic but not real explanation for her behavior.

Chennedy Carter posted it on her Instagram story and added a message for her followers. She wrote: “I grew up with brothers, we just fought and fought… I love hate more than love, what don’t you understand? I’d rather you hate me than love me, and I mean that with reference to my dead aunt.” The text was followed by a racing flag and a white heart.

For the incident in which she only had a “away from the ball” foul, Carter simply asked for the next question in the postgame press conference. When another reporter asked again, she told them she didn’t want to answer any questions from Caitlin Clark. Teresa Weatherspoon also rushed to her aid and dodged the questions.

In the same game, Angel Reese also got physical with Caitlin Clark and pushed her away. However, Chennedy Carter’s perspective on the entire situation took center stage. What did Caitlin Clark have to say after being pushed around so much?

The problems on the field don’t seem to leave Caitlin Clark alone. In her last game against the Seattle Storm, Christie Sides received a technical penalty for protecting the rookie. Although no one got a foul this time, the Fever’s star player was not exactly happy with the decision. After understanding why the foul was not taken into account, the 6’1″ defender also spoke to Angel Gray, who was reporting from the field. In an interview on the sidelines, Clark told her: “Yeah, that’s just not a basketball play. But I have to play through it. That’s what basketball is all about at this level.”

At the press conference, she also just shrugged her shoulders when reporters asked her about Chennedy Carter’s actions. Then she said: “Yeah, I didn’t expect that, but it’s like just reacting, getting down and letting your game speak for itself. It is what it is. It’s a physical game.”

Although the entire Indiana team was not happy with their offense today, their impeccable defense secured them a much-needed win. Fever held the visitors to 40.6% shooting from the field. They also reduced their shooting percentage from beyond the three-point line to just 16.7%. In comparison, they have an average efficiency of 33.33% from the three-point line. We will see if Fever can put up the same defense in their second Commissioner’s Cup game against New York.
