Parrish man arrested after woman found with gunshot wounds in crashed vehicle, dies in hospital

A man has been arrested after a woman was found dead in an apparent shooting in Walker County. The Walker County Sheriff’s Office reported that Carlos Harris of Parrish was taken into custody and charged with murder. The arrest came after officers responded to a traffic accident on West Wolfe Road near Jasper in the early morning hours of Saturday, May 4th. When first responders arrived, they found a female driver unresponsive and suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. The victim was taken to a hospital and pronounced dead on arrival.
