Several dogs dead and others burned after fire in Warrick County

HENDERSON, Ky. (WEHT) – Rescue crews say several dogs are dead and others injured after a fire at a breeding facility in Warrick County.

The animal rescue organization It Takes A Village said it was contacted by the Warrick County Sheriff’s Office around 5:00 a.m. Sunday morning asking for help.

Sheriff Mike Wilder says the fire started on Wheatonville Road in Elberfeld.

According to ITV, five dogs were rescued and taken to Warrick Vet Clinic for emergency care. We’re told their staff volunteered to care for the burned dogs.
