3 suspects arrested for home invasion, robbery and assault in Bloomington in March – San Bernardino Sun

Three suspects were arrested Thursday, May 30, more than two months after two people were robbed of $12,500 in cash and one person was attacked with a firearm in a robbery in Bloomington, the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department said.

On March 12, around 3 a.m., two victims, a man and a woman, were awakened at gunpoint by three armed suspects in the 18000 block of Valley Boulevard in Bloomington, a sheriff’s news release Friday said.

The man was hit with a firearm and dragged to his desk while the woman was held against her will, Friday’s press release said.

The robbers stole $12,500 in cash, video surveillance footage from the residence and a victim’s vehicle.

The victims called authorities, and officers from the Fontana Sheriff’s Station began investigating. Investigators identified Marcos Guerrero, 48, of Glendora, Elijah Gafare, 35, of West Covina, and Cynthia Leal, 38, of Ontario, as the three people involved in the robbery, the news release said.

A few months later, on Thursday, investigators conducted two searches, found and arrested all three suspects.

According to the sheriff’s release, Guerrero and Leal were arrested at a residence in the 1000 block of East Foothill Boulevard in Glendora, while Gafare was arrested at a residence in the 700 block of South Manzanita Drive in West Covina.

They were all arrested on suspicion of home invasion, assault with a firearm and conspiracy to commit a crime and booked into the West Valley Detention Center, the press release said.

Anyone with information about the robbery should contact the Sheriff’s Department at 909-356-6767.
