BALTIMORE – A stalled front nearby will cause unsettled weather as we approach midweek. We can expect scattered showers and thunderstorms each afternoon.

Storms are expected to be sporadic this afternoon and evening due to extensive cloud cover over the area. A new line of storms will move in from the Ohio River Valley this evening, although they will weaken as they move east through Wednesday morning.

We’ll be watching later Wednesday for the potential for additional storms to develop as the upper level of energy causing the storms moves through the region.

Temperatures will climb into the upper 70s and lower 80s today, with a few more sunny breaks throughout the day.

Tonight temperatures will drop to 60°.

Wednesday will be warm and humid with the possibility of PM storms. The chances appear isolated, but any storms that develop could produce locally heavy rainfall and gusty winds. Highs on Wednesday could reach the mid to upper 80s in some areas.

Thursday will see a few showers/storms early in the morning, with a break late morning before another round of potentially severe thunderstorms arrive in the afternoon. Highs will be in the upper 70s to low 80s. Cooling is expected behind the front Thursday evening, with temperatures falling to the upper 50s.

The cold front will continue through the area early Friday, with temperatures significantly cooler than previous days. Highs on Friday will be in the mid 60s to low 70s.

The weekend looks to be cooler than average, with a chance of scattered or scattered rain each day. Temperatures are expected to rise again early next week.
