The driver whose pickup truck crashed and overturned on Route 220 at the Reach Road intersection late Saturday afternoon was killed in the crash, the Lycoming County Coroner’s Office confirmed.

The male driver was ejected from the truck in the crash, which occurred at 4:45 p.m., city police said. His identity is expected to be released late Sunday.

A male passenger was taken by ambulance to UPMC Williamsport to be treated for his injuries, city police said. The truck was pulling a small trailer, police said.

Traffic on Route 220 South was diverted from the freeway for about three hours, but was able to return directly to the freeway after crossing the overpass.

Further details should be released on Sunday.
