Chennedy Carter refuses to answer questions about Caitlin Clark incident

Chennedy Carter refused to answer questions about her incident with Caitlin Clark, which occurred during the third quarter of the Indiana Fever’s 71-70 victory over the Chicago Sky at Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis, Indiana on Saturday.

Carter knocked Clark to the ground on a non-basketball play late in the third quarter after players had been verbally abused a few times over the course of several possessions. Carter was called for a foul on that play but received no further discipline.

After the game, Carter refused to talk about the matter.

“I am not answering questions from Caitlin Clark,” Carter said in an interview with the media.

Carter also lied and said she didn’t say anything to Clark, even though videos clearly show that she was yelling at Clark before the incident.

Sky head coach Teresa Weatherspoon then stepped in and ended the matter.

“That’s enough. We are satisfied,” Weatherspoon said when asked about the incident.

Carter led her team during the game with 19 points in 30 minutes, but after that her responsibility left much to be desired.
