  • Pride is about community. Look out for each other and report any suspicious people or activities to event staff or a police officer. A good saying is, “If you see something, say something.” In an emergency, call 9-1-1. To provide an anonymous tip, call the Crime Stoppers Anonymous Tip Line at 800-222-TIPS or download the “P3 Tips” mobile app from Google Play or the Apple Store or visit the website at http://acrimestoppers.org.
  • Stay up to date on emergencies or important events by following our social media pages or contacting your local sheriff’s station.
  • Stay close to your friends and your drinks. Don’t accept drinks from strangers.
  • Drink responsibly and do not drive under the influence of alcohol – always designate a driver who does not drink alcohol.
  • There are numerous public transportation options in Los Angeles County that you can use to get to and from Pride events and get around.
  • If you come to the festivities by car, remember to “park smart”! Take your valuables with you and don’t leave them in the car.
  • Keep an eye on your cell phone, wallet and other valuables.
  • You are safer in a group. Stay with the group on the street or when leaving bars and clubs.
  • Be careful when leaving a bar or club with a stranger. A rule of thumb is that if you feel “unsafe” around someone, trust your instincts and do not go with that person.
