Eskom load shedding plan: current dates, times, details

Energy supplier Eskom confirmed in its recent X-Post on Friday that the load shedding regulation will remain suspended until further notice.

Eskom confirmed: “Load shedding has currently been suspended for 65 consecutive days.

“Eskom is pleased to announce that load shedding will remain suspended until further notice due to the ongoing structural improvement of the reliability of the generation fleet.”

Eskom urged the public to switch off non-essential appliances to reduce demand, particularly between 5pm and 9pm.

WHAT IS ESKOM?

Eskom is a South African public energy utility. It was founded in 1923 as the Electricity Supply Commission.

The utility is Africa’s largest electricity producer and was one of the world’s leading utilities in terms of generation capacity and revenue.

It is the largest state-owned company in South Africa.
