Man abuses housewife in broad daylight after she asks for drinking water – KERALA – CRIME

KOLLAM: A young man who allegedly sexually assaulted a woman in broad daylight after entering her house has been arrested by the police. The incident took place at Chithara in Kollam. The arrested has been identified as Vishnu (21), a native of Challimukku in Chithara.

The incident related to the case took place on Thursday afternoon. The man came outside the woman’s house when her husband and child were not there and asked for a glass of water. She gave him a glass of water and he asked for another glass. When the woman went to the kitchen to get water, the accused came in and harassed the woman. After the woman started shouting, the accused ran away. Then the information was passed on to the neighbours and relatives. Later, the locals in the area arrested him and handed him over to the police. Chithara police said that the accused is a drug addict and is accused in several cases. The accused was produced before the court and remanded in judicial custody.

Meanwhile, in Kozhikode, a 51-year-old man was arrested for sexually abusing minor girls. The incident took place in Thamarassery in Kozhikode. The accused abused two neighbour girls in his own house. The children told this to their friends and they informed their parents. The accused was arrested under sections of the POCSO Act on a complaint filed by the children’s parents to the Thamarasery police.
