In an accident in Cheshire, the driver is trapped in his car

CHESHIRE, Connecticut (WTNH) – Rescue shears were needed to rescue a driver after a car crash in Cheshire Saturday afternoon.

The Cheshire Fire Department responded to a multi-vehicle crash around 2:30 p.m. on West Main Street.


One of the drivers had to be extricated from his vehicle. The CFD used rescue shears to remove parts of the car and get to the driver. After being extricated, the driver was taken by the emergency services for treatment.

The total number of injured is currently unknown.
