Man and woman killed in shooting in downtown Tampa, police said

TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) – Tampa police said they are investigating a double homicide that occurred downtown Saturday.

According to police, officers were called to the 1100 block of Ray Charles Boulevard around 1:15 p.m. after two people were shot.


The victims were a woman and a man, both of whom had suffered injuries to their upper bodies. Both died at the scene of the accident.

According to investigators, a suspect was found and a weapon was seized at the crime scene.

The identities of those involved are not yet known, but police said they all knew each other.
