Nagarkurnool: District Deputy SP CH Rameshwar said that women, young women and girls in Nagar Kurnool district should fearlessly approach the police if they get into trouble due to hooliganism or other harassment. He said that She Teams and Anti-Women Trafficking Teams are working for the protection of women in the district. Students told the women not to panic if they face injustice.

SP Rameshwar also said that they should come forward boldly and file a complaint. He said strict action would be taken against the accused. School students are instructed to approach the team if they are teased and harassed by college girls. SP Rameshwar also said that if anyone sexually harasses women or girls, they will immediately approach the SHE team and justice will be done immediately.

He said that the She team is organizing awareness programs across the district. Women, especially, should be cautious while using Facebook, WhatsApp and Instagram. They are advised to take all possible precautions regarding their personal safety while posting photos and videos.

Women who cannot reach the police directly should call the QR code or dial 8712657676 or 100 to give information and keep the details confidential then justice will be done to them, he said. Further, SP CH Rameshwar stated that out of the 12 complaints received in May, two FIR cases, two Pitti cases and eight other cases were resolved through counselling.
