Man dies after rollover accident on Route 3 in Plymouth

PLYMOUTH, Massachusetts (WWLP) – A man died in a single-vehicle rollover crash in Plymouth Friday night.

According to the Massachusetts State Police, troopers were called to a car crash on Route 3 around 5 p.m. Friday. The driver of a 2015 Nissan Rogue went off the left side of the road and landed on its roof in the Eel River.

An adult and two teenagers were in the vehicle at the time of the accident. The driver, a 50-year-old man, later died of his injuries on the way to hospital. Both passengers, a 13-year-old girl and an 11-year-old boy, remain in critical condition and have sustained serious injuries.

The cause of the accident is currently being investigated. The left and right lanes were closed for about three hours. During the clean-up and investigation, traffic was able to pass on the hard shoulder.
